MILLINGTON, Tenn. (May 23, 2013) – Memphis International Raceway is pleased to join the Mega MOPAR Action Series for its event July 5-6th.  Celebrate everything MOPAR at this family – friendly event including drag racing, car show, swap meet, vendor midway and autocross. “We will have something for everyone at our Mega Mopar Action Series event in July at Memphis International Raceway,” said Pam Kendrick Vice President and General Manager of Memphis International Raceway.  “For the MOPAR enthusiast it is a perfect weekend to see the most beautiful cars and trucks in the show, fierce MOPAR powered racing on the dragstrip, and a swap meet to buy those hard to find parts or accessories for restoration projects and more,” said Kendrick.

“It’s truly an honor to add Memphis International Raceway to the Mega MOPAR Action Series family. This is an exciting time for the series as we have expanded the last two years nationally with great success and with tremendous fan support. MIR has an incredibly loyal following and this will finally give their fans a feature event that celebrates all things MOPAR,” said Lex Dudas, President of the Executive Committee Mega MOPAR Action Series.

The action gets started on Friday, July 5th with MOPAR vs. the World open Test and Tune Drag Racing.  If you think your Chevy or Ford can get the better of a mean MOPAR, this is your chance to prove it.  Saturday will be action packed with the spectacular car and truck show, swap meet, NASA AutoCross and Racing.  As if that was not enough, MIR has added stock and super stock plus the Dixie Doorslammers – the quickest index series in the Mid-South and an all American fireworks display to light up the dragstrip and the skies at Memphis International Raceway – Where the Racing Rocks!

The gates open at 7:00 PM on Friday with runs from 8:00 PM – midnight.  On Saturday, the gates open at noon for Swap Meet set up and registration for NASA AutoCross and the car and truck show.  The NASA autocross begins at 1:00 PM and the dragstrip is live at 2:00 PM for some intense racing action all day.  Bring the whole family out for a wonderful weekend and to celebrate this great American Car Manufacturer at Memphis International Raceway.

Tickets are available at the gate.  Admission on Friday is $10.00 Adult; $5.00 6-12; FREE 5-Under.  Admission on Saturday is $20.00 Adult; $5.00 6-12; FREE 5-Under.  Save $5.00 and buy a 2 day pass for $25.00.  AutoCross is $25 (Saturday only) and all entries are based on class.
